About this event
The Nairobi Biennale of Architecture & Art 2026 brings together architecture, art, design, urbanism, heritage, industry and ideas to explore Africa's built environment and future, through curated exhibitions, conversations, urban experiences, heritage and public programming.
This year's theme, Shifting the Center: From Fragility to Resilience, Reclaiming Africa's Architecture and Future, positions African architecture as its own centre rather than a periphery testing imported models.
Exhibition week filled the ASK Nairobi Showground with design and commercial exhibits, art and installations, and talks, panels and conversations in the central arena beneath a bamboo tower.
